- Attended the University of California San Diego (B.A. in Psychology)
- Earned Multiple-Subjects Teaching Credential and Masters in Education from Azusa Pacific University
- Covina-Valley teacher for over 24 years (third and fourth grades)
- Big fan of integrating technology tools, hands-on learning and small-group instruction
- Served as Master Teacher, Technology Trainer/Mentor, Curriculum Trainer and Leadership Team member
- Father of four wonderful boys
- Founder of Trail Life USA Troop 212 - A Christian outdoor adventure/leadership troop for boys
- Sunday school teacher (K-6) at a Calvary Chapel for over 26 years
- Has coached various sports (field hockey, basketball, soccer and flag football)
- Relaxes by working out at the gym or napping
- DIY guy - Favorite stores are Home Depot and Autozone
- San Diego Padre fans since the early 1990's - Go Padres!!
